Announcement for the Recruitment of Deputy Directors by the Administrative Commission of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area, Open to Domestic and Overseas Applicants | Updated: 2019-05-15 15:49

Founded in 1984, Tianjin Economic-Techno- logical Development Area (TEDA) is among the earliest national-level development zones in China approved by the State Council. As a part of the Tianjin Binhai New Area, TEDA covers an area of 460 square kilometers. It is an integral part of the China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone and has established itself as a National Demonstration Zone of Indigenous Innovation, a National Demonstration Base of Neo-industrialization, a National Demonstration Zone of Financial Innovation & Operation, one of the earliest National Demonstration Zones of Startups & Innovation and a Pilot City (Zone) for Indus- try-Capital Connectivity. Its major economic indicators and overall performance have always been in the front rank of the national development zones for 19 years in a run. At present, TEDA is 幸运快乐8必赢 to three 100-bil- lion-yuan industrial clusters of automobiles, electronics and petrochemicals; and two 50-billion-yuan clusters of equipment manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and healthcare. At the moment, TEDA’s business scope runs deep into the modern service cluster with a focus on the headquarters’ economy, modern finance, cultural creativity, cross-border e-commerce and modern logistics, and the emerging industrial cluster as represented by the new-generation of information technology, intelligent manufacturing, new energy and new materials, energy efficiency and environmental protection, and the maritime economy. In the future, TEDA will continue to work as a key player in the implementation of the Belt & Road Initiative and Beijing-Tianjin- Hebei Coordinated Development and, to be- come a world-class new industrial city with a large economic scale, the highest opening-up level, and the optimal comprehensive investment environment.
According to research, it has been decided that the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area will implement reform and adopt enterprise-style management, fulfilling its administrative management and service duty in accordance with the statutory mandate. Deputy directors of the Management Committee have no administrative rank and both domestic and international candidates can participate in this open recruitment. The announcement is as follows:
1. Positions
Six deputy directors, of which one will be in charge of comprehensive economic growth and safety & environmental protection, one in charge of planning and construction, one in charge of finance, one in charge of techno- logical innovation and business environment, and two in charge of investment promotion.
2. Scope of Selection and Qualifications
(1) Scope of selection: open to both domestic and international talents.
(2) Qualifications:
Applicants should firmly support the leader- ship of the Communist Party of China and strictly observe the Constitution and the laws of the People’s Republic of China. It is also required that the applicant is familiar with development zones’ reform and promoting innovation, and equipped with relevant working experience and professional knowledge, has a sharp market sense, strong organizing and leadership skills, spirit of innovation and the ability to cope with complicated problems. The applicant must have good working ethics and personal integrity. Apart from the description above, the applicant must also have the qualifications below:
a. Bachelor’s degree (from four-year full- time university) or above;
b. More than 10 years’ related working experience in economics, technology, planning and construction, public finance and money and banking, safety and environ- mental protection or other related areas. Has accumulated more than three years’ working experience in the following positions: middle or above level executive positions (including equivalent) at domestic or international large-sized enterprises,
State-owned enterprises, Global 500 or public companies, middle or above level principal positions (including equivalent) at domestic or international top-ranked colleges and universities, or scientific research institutions, principal head at department levels or above (including equivalent) at CPC offices, government offices or public institutions. Outstanding applicants having strong working back- ground can also apply for the job even if with less than three years’ working experience at the positions mentioned above.

3. Term of Office and Remuneration
(1) Term of office
The first term of office lasts for three years. The contract can be continued if the appli- cant is eligible through evaluation.
(2) Remuneration
The annual income will be no less than RMB 500,000. Annual bonus and a bonus for term of service is available depending on achieve- ments and performance. For investment promotion and project introduction related positions, the salary level may be decided by the market value.

(2) Relevant Clarifications
